Study Finds That the Number of Protestant Americans Is Declining
We are finally on a firm path to true enlightenment. Once we break the shackles of religion as a society instead of striving to reach “a better place” after death we can create this place in life.
22% of America’s children live below the poverty line. One in five. Most religious people believe these children will one day go to heaven and experience a glorious afterlife. This belief allows them to ignore the horrors of homelessness, malnutrition and disease that effect so many children in this country. Most religious people I know don’t do a damn thing for their fellow man, let alone their fellow children.
It’s time to create a “more perfect union” and a more decent society. Children should not go hungry in a nation that spends $71 billion a year subsidizing religion. Let’s take that money and feed the children. Today I have hope that with 20% of us rejecting religion it won’t be long before we stop focusing on “life” after death and start focusing on life here on earth.
